I will include photos later, but just wanted to remind you that the new Whole Foods opened this morning at 9. It’s nice and big with some cool new products – like self-grind cashew and pecan butter. And for those of you who can eat peanut butter and chocolate, there’s also a self-grind chocolate peanut butter machine. It looked good!
There are various things on sale today, and the first one you’ll see when you walk in is grapes! Red and green grapes are on sale for $0.99 per pound. There are also various local companies there sampling their products: Happy Monkey Hummus, Beehive Cheese, City Cakes, Crumb Brothers Bread, as well as the Whole Foods Bakehouse. I was hoping to see Cheese Bread Mania there too, but it doesn’t look like they are carrying her cheese bread yet. Not that I can eat it anymore, but it’s good stuff and made right here in Salt Lake City. Honest Tea is also there, and bottles of tea are on sale 2 for $1.49 (2 for the price of 1). The Moroccan Mint Green Tea is sweetened with honey, not sugar, so I was able to try it. Yay!
Another happy surprise this morning was the free Whole Foods Trolley Square shopping tote I received when I checked out. It’s nice and roomy – the base is a generous 9.5″ x 12.5″. Thanks Whole Foods!
Update: The photos are on Facebook.
